Research, data gathering, and organization
This highly-visual, interactive forensic search tool allows analysts to rapidly explore events, assets, and their connections across the network. Leading many whiteboarding and design sessions with real-world cybersecurity analysts and experts, we quickly worked through possible use cases, pain points, and concepts to produce rapid prototypes driven by actual network data. These solutions allowed the team to get responses quickly and iterate faster for better solutions that continued to make our customers happy.
Through many iterations, reviews, and tests, we developed multiple wireframes for several user flows and user types. This process produced constant refinement and progress, allowing us to build prototypes and gather feedback more quickly..
After many iterations, we developed a design language that was clear, accessible, and available in light and dark mode for desktop, tablet, and mobile. With a diverse library of use cases, the screen layouts needed to be responsive to many devices.
